In 1971, Basildon Chemical Company Limited was created in the small town of Upper Basildon, Oxfordshire by Kelvin Bryon. Initially a small family run operation, the company grew through the introduction of various industrial antifoams and release products, which were then scaled up. In 2011, Basildon Chemicals was purchased by the KCC Corporation of Korea, becoming KCC Basildon Chemical Company.
