Elementis Plc is a United Kingdom-based specialty chemicals company. It operates through two business divisions: Specialty Products and Chromium. The Specialty Products segment provides functional materials to the coatings, personal care, energy and pharmaceutical sectors. Materials supplied include rheological additives and modifiers, high performance dispersing agents, organoclays and colorants, wetting and slip agents, loanolin and other natural oil derivatives, flow and leveling additives, other specialty additives and resins. The Chromium segment is a producer of chromium chemicals, such as sodium dichromate, chromic oxide, chromic acid and liquid chrome sulfate, used in applications, such as aerospace alloys, timber treatment and leather production.
